This brief Incoterms class is designed to give import/export professionals an overall introduction to the important role of trade terms, also known as Incoterms. Incoterms help define responsibilities between the buyer and seller in import/export transactions. This course highlights Incoterms 2020 changes for those who are already familiar with Incoterms and would like up-to-date information.

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 3 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 3.5 CCS/CES continuing education credits.

Note: The information in this course is also covered in course C20u. Professionals looking for more in-depth Incoterms training, such as sellers and buyers negotiating international transactions, international forwarders/customs brokers needing trade terms for specific transactions or those working in an advisory capacity, we recommend courses C1 or C1.3.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
