Intro to US Importing: Entry & Release Process

C21u - Introduction to US Import Requirements Through Customs Release of Imported Goods

This online class is designed to give students a basic understanding of the processes involved in importing goods into the United States. It details how the US Customs and Border Protection agency and various other government agencies are involved in the import process, and what’s the process for getting imports entered and released into the US.

If you are a new importer, this course will expand your understanding of the responsibilities and regulations involved in importing goods into the US. More experienced importers may also benefit from it by “filling in the gaps” and gaining a “big picture” understanding of import processes and requirements.

Note: Our introductory courses are applicable to all operational environments, even though customs brokerage operational processes may vary by transportation mode.

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion is available for download. The course can be completed in 14 hours or less.
