This class is designed for international forwarding and customs clearance operations professionals. The course addresses the following questions: What is Incoterms? Why is understanding Incoterms crucial for forwarders and customs brokers? How do Incoterms relate to the roles and responsibilities of sellers and buyers? What challenges do forwarders typically face while preparing quotations and shipping, and how can these challenges be addressed?

This course can be completed in 6 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 6 CCS/CES continuing education credits.

Important: This is a brief, entry-level course. Exporters and importers that require in-depth Incoterms training will benefit from course C1. Forwarders, customs broker managers, and supervisors working with Incoterms will benefit from course C1.3.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.
