Reduce training time and costs with our Limited Quantities Dangerous Goods training courses. If you ship small amounts of Hazardous Materials, your shipments may qualify for Limited Quantities exceptions, reducing your packaging and labeling  costs — this training will help you identify which shipments qualify.

Our Limited Quantities courses are perfect for shippers, freight forwarders, and hazmat employees who handle smaller amounts of Dangerous Goods.* They may also be completed as supplemental training to enhance function-specific knowledge for identifying, classifying, packing, marking, labeling and documenting Limited Quantities of Dangerous Goods.

We offer Limited Quantities Hazmat training for all modes of transportation: air, ocean or ground — or choose a combination of all three for even greater savings.

*These courses satisfy international requirements as well as US Code of Federal Regulations Title 49, (49 CFR) Subpart H, Section 172.704 (49 CFR 172.704).

What qualifies as a Limited Quantity of Dangerous Goods?

Requirements vary according to the hazard class of the material being shipped. Other factors include regulation codes (49 CFR, IMDG, and IATA), mode of transport, packing group, inner packaging quantity, gross package weight, and the total quantity of hazardous material in the package.

When must employees be trained?

Employers must certify that new employees have had initial Dangerous Goods training within 90 days of being hired or change of job function. Existing employees must receive recurrent training at least every three years (every two years for Air Freight). Our courses satisfy both initial and recurrent training requirements.
