Intro to US Customs Brokerage: Part 1

CB1u – Intro to US Customs Brokerage Online Training, Part 1: The Players, Functions and Business of a Customs Broker

This is the first of a six-part series of introductory classes about US Customs Brokerage and teaches the process, operational functions, and business of customs brokerage. If you are new to customs brokerage or are an importer, these US Customs Brokerage Part 1 – 6 courses will accelerate your understanding. For those who already have some experience, these courses will fill in gaps in your operational knowledge, as well as add “big picture” understanding of import requirements.

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 14.5 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 14.5 CCS continuing education credits.

Important: Although the operational particulars of customs brokerage vary with the mode of transportation, US Customs brokerage part 1 – 6 courses are applicable to all operational environments. Watch for short “add-on” courses in the near future that will further address work flows and knowledge applicable to particular operational environments (i.e., the northern or southern border, airports, seaports and inland ports).
