This class is intended for importer personnel who need to learn the fundamentals of the US import process and the functions of a customs broker. It’s also ideal for new employees wishing to gain quick awareness of company services for non-operational job assignments (e.g., accounting, HR, IT and other business support positions).

 

This introductory course can be completed in 14 hours or less.

 

Note: For entry-level forwarder personnel hired or transferred into operational positions, more in-depth training may be needed. For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
